Hello to all visitors. I am Steve Dingman, sole taxidermist and operator of Feather & Down Taxidermy. I first learned the art of Taxidermy when I was 19 years old from a world class carver who also did some taxidermy on the side. It started as a hobby when I was doing my chemistry and biology degree at the University of Guelph, then in the workforce. I am now doing my taxidermy work full time. I have achieved top honours at the Canadian competition since I started competing in the year 2000. I work on every bird mount as if I was doing it for a competition and I take pride in attempting the best mount I can with each specimen. Born in Trenton, Ontario in 1968, I now live near Picton, Ontario.
When not in the basement working, I can often be found hunting or fishing near home. the following pictures describe where I often am.
